Serial #'s For HT3B??

'97 5sp 2500 2wd. 370 injectors, #4 plate, 4k GSK, CON OFE clutch, 4" downpipe into 5" straight exhaust... EGT's are managable with the stock HX35w12 set at 35psi, but I want to slide that plate forward and have some fun! :D

quite prepared to buy/build a new downpipe... I do plan on doing some towing (2 car low-boy) now and then.

looking forward to your recomendations

thanks,

Forrest

The only limiting factor is your wallet!! A PDR HX35 could help or even a PDR HX40 that should keep up nicely. If you really want to go big there are some hybreds out there to try. Give Piers or Enterprise Engine a call and ask what turbo they think would work best. Good Luck

Craig

If I were you I would call Piers and talk to him about his PDR HX40, and the new line of turbos he is selling, the "B" series. So either way the man has what you want/need. :)

Forrest, then check out the dodgezilla turbo, it should make you very happy.

citydiesel puts together a very impressive product

yeah, after reading Wade's review, that's the direction I've been leaning... I might fab up an elbow that maintains a 4" diameter instead of necking down to 3" though.

forrest, this turbo will bolt up to an HX40 4" downpipe, very sweet

so does it utilize an HX40 turbine housing? interesting...

I guess when I read that they were using an HX35 turbine shaft, I assumed it was using an HX35 center and turbine housing as well...

I wants one! Oo.

I just bit the bullet and ordered one,so if I bought a hx 40 down pipe it would bolt up right to the Dodgezilla?Or I can use the clamp on elbow form my hx 35 and run the stock down pipe that came with my 4 inch exhaust. Is my thinking correct on this. Would using a Hx40 down pipe make a difference on egts?

you can use either a bandclamp style mounting (hx40) or the standard HX35 style 2 bolts /flange mounting.

and the wastegate options for producing different boost pressure relief setings is very trick

so with the band clamp setup, does it maintain a full 4" diameter or is it 3" at the turbo? the ad states that an HX40 downpipe is not required... my question is, will an HX40 downpipe HELP?

Forrest

I might be incorrect here but I think you can either use a 3" v-band clamp (like the 12v's use) or the 2 bolt clamp like the 24v's use. If you want to use a 40 downpipe you can get adapters already made up for the conversion from 3" to 4" from PDR.
