Serial #'s For HT3B??

well, I stopped by to see my buddy at the turbo shop today... he had told me previously that they "didn't really do all that much with holsets", so I didn't persue it... well, it was a slow day, so I was just looking through his bins of parts... found an HX35 center housing, turbine wheel, 16cm wastegated turbine housing, compressor housing, and a 60mm 6 blade HX40 compressor wheel...

he's sending the compressor housing and wheel to the machinist to have it matched up on Monday. he'll cut the center housing in-house.

somebody's getting a turbo! Oo. Oo.

LOL, I'm at 57 psi with no problems. Some have held at 70 while others have blown at 40. It is hit and miss.

well, I've seen 42psi a number of times, so hopefully it'll hold up for a while at ~45ish... I guess I just want to "play the odds" rather than "tempt fate" :p

Forrest, I've tempted fate with my old 1st gen. I ran a hybrid HX50/15 a while back. It cranked out 54-55 psi at WOT empty and I also hit a real scary 1800*F too..... so far the head gasket and engine have held to gether... blessed is the patron saint of acceleration... . :D:D

Pastor Bob.

Forrest, with your power, I wouldn't go any smaller than a full size HX40. 40 compressor AND turbine housing w/4" outlet.

I can only speak intelligently about what we offer, so that would be a 40 or a Jammer.

well, I'm pieceing this hybrid together for less than 1/2 of what I'm getting quoted for HX40's, so I'm gonna have to make do with this for now...

actually, there was an HX40 shaft in the parts bin, but no turbine housing, so that'd be another ~$150-175 or so, and I'd have to build a downpipe...

after reading Wade's review on his hybrid, I think I'll be alright for a little while w/ this thing.
