To keep it simple and to the point... what is your recommendation for my turbo upgrade? I have a stock 35 now and have "thought" about twins but the price keeps setting me back. 10psi to 40 happens in about . 5 seconds along with EGT's soaring towards 1600 (1/8 mile drag was this hot for 2+seconds). It's fun to play with but I can't really race anyone due to having to back out early. I don't tow and like to hotrod quite a bit. Reading about boost, drive pressure, exhaust housings, etc. is driving me insane and I can't make a decision without some good advice.

I'd suggest you put that water meth on and a B1. Makes a nice single and tough as nails so when you do twins down the road your allready set for your top charger.

I've had a B1 for 2 years with the WG locked open and it has towed my 13k 5er reasonably well (10 psi flat florida, 20 psi at times, and stayed under 1250*). I recently figuered out what was wrong and locked the WG closed (DD2's, Comp NOT pierced). On initial testing it got 33 psi on 1x5. A member that had BDIII's was 30psi no Comp, 40 psi Comp WAS pierced.

Rip Rook, or Ole Poole, or Piers come to mind, call them. They all have a wide range of turbos and probably have more turbo knowledge than any single member has.

Psi is great, but to much of it also blows gaskets, a trade off.

Twins seem to be a compromise between low end spool and high end spool. Much $$$, but above post, B1 ... "at least you would have one of them".

As for my 35 losing its efficiency @ 35+psi... do you think I should turn it down to lower its EGT? I am assuming the water/meth will raise boost pressure and cool the EGT's a bit. I don't want to do a head gasket at this time. I ordered the controller for the water/meth... thats why its not installed yet.

How quick does a B1 spool? How much hp do you need to fuel it?

Does a B1, HX35/40 or twins sound much different than the stocker?

I already have my top charger if i went with a 35/HT3B combo. Have heard no complaints about this setup.

As for a single thats kinda what I had in mind. A B1 or HTB2 Would really be nice. I would need to make sure I choose wisely so the upgrade to twins would be simple and cost effective. I will have to look at the cost/performance difference.

So far from further reading it looks like a B1 of some type is in my future. Gonna do some more research on the various HTB2's and wait for opinions on the poll.

I had thought about calling on of the "pro's" I. E. JR, Piers, Ole for some good advice but they are also out to make money. I just want honest opinions from customers who have already spent the money.

dougs455,they r in buisness to make money, but they r not going to make it off of u,with that in mind, they nwill give you good advice. im not partial to anyone here, and i have never purchased anything from any of them but i will say i called jr adkins and i must of talked to him for a solid hour and he told me everything i needed to know, and he is an extreamly nice guy, hell answer any of your questions. .
