I have JR's 55' on my 97 12v great turbo, spoolup not bad for turbo this size and moves alot of air. To my knowledge nobody has blew up one of his 55's.

Would be nice if someone knew the technical specs such as wheel size of each and would post these specs. Maps to go along with these specs would be that much more interesting. While a few such as JetPilot have a lot of experience and feedback from others that they can base their opinion on, posting HPs numbers and personal opinion about how they cool and spool are totally subject to how the truck is setup along with personal perspective. What would be nice to see in say an upcoming issue of TDR would be a technical break down and analysis of all the turbos such as what DLeno has done with Perf Boxes for 3rd Gen trucks.

Z-we got the stupid "no adapter plate" rule changed this year. You can run anything as long as the inlet bore is no bigger than(or bushed down to)2. 8". Don't waste your money... . all these turbos are overpriced. I can buy 5 good cores and rebuild them for what the chargers you listed are selling for. That's the reason we fought to change the rule. Cost us a lot of money. And the people backing it were getting rich of these mutt chargers. Just my opinion.....

BAT 1 is also an opton, relatively affordable compared to some of the ones you listed - requires an adaptor plate and may be tough to spool with an auto. Probably not ideal for daily driving, but should be capable of some good hp up top. Has a cool titanium compressor wheel too Oo.

RE: High Horsepower Turbos

Yes we do have turbos ready for sale. The Phat Shaft turbos that we offer is a very nice upgrade. We offer it in a 62mm and a 66mm compressor design. the 66 super is our highest horse power turbo, which is the turbo that we have made 688hp. just lately in a 3rd gen truck. Exhaust temps reduce by 300 deg. and most of our customers have made very good hp on 2nd and 3rd gen. trucks. Our turbo prices do include 4 inch down pipes so if you do not need one we will reduce the price for you. We have turbos on trucks at Muncie that have been performing very well. Please go to our web site and look at a picture of our Phat Shaft Turbo. www.industrialinjection.com Or call us at 1-800-955-0476. We would be glad to talk to you about turbos or injection products that we have. We carry just about any type of turbo that you may be interested in.

Brett, re-read his question.

He wants to know what turbo you reference the 300F drop in EGT from.

I am also currious about the correction factor on the 688 HP run!!!

Assuming that your turbo is rated at 700 HP at Stoic, or for that matter 13:1 then it is in reality a turbo that can only support 455 useable HP @ 20:1
