which turbo??

Here is My situation. I have a 2004 Cummins with the Banks PowerPack in it. I pull a 12,000 lbs boat thru the mountains of PA. I have very little runway to get over these things so i was wondering what turbo would be best for me. I need quick spool up and a lot of turbo whistle. Another question, Can i run a boost fooler with the six gun with speedloader? any help at all would be appreciative? thanks

Where in PA are ya from? Id say a Industrial Injection 62 would do ya.

I run an Industrial Injection ps62/12 on my 03 Dodge. I also have an ATS exhaust manifold an Ez Edge set on 2 and a cold air intake system. I pull around 9000 lbs and have never reached 1200*. Even on the steepest California grades. Good Luck. .

I have the BD Super B special and many here have the SPS62 they are both similar and both are 62mm

I am very happy with the spooling of my Super B special and I tow a 30ft 5er

I will gaurantee that you would be happiest with a Super 62 from II or a Super Stock 62 from HT... . best turbo I have run out of 6 that I've tried & I tow daily 15k.

The spoolup is unbelieveable. It does come in a little later than the stocker [about 200 rpm later], but the thing that makes these turbos great for pulling heavy loads is that once they do light... . they are gone! My SS62 has the "killer wheel" which is a low drive pressure wheel. Once this wheel spools... . it goes from 10 psi to peak boost before you can blink your eyes. This is why they work so great for pulling a heavy load..... it cools faster than the engine could build heat thus keeping exhaust temps way down.

I ran quadzilla boost fooler with the banks 6 gun with speed loader and loved it. I sold the 6 gun but I still run the quadzilla boost fooler. I bought mine from xtreme diesel since they were so close to me and the item was supposed to come faster than any other shop. I personally bought other things from xtreme diesel but I will never do business with them ever again.

What else do you have to modify if you use a different turbo? Hoses, valves, etc... ? I'm working on figuring out all the Turbo Diesel ins and outs. But its taking a while.
