 Could you guys give me some ideas on which products to put on my truck to give me the most power without blowing up a stock trans. ? Injectors, boxes, etc... ?

Just my view but I would say not much more than 65-70Hp chip on the safe side, I had a hypertech III programmer which adds about 66 hp to the rear wheels and the trans was fine for the 20K miles I put on it, put another 65 to it and the trans was bucking and slipping after a week. The Trans from what I hear is pretty much maxed out from factory with not much room for upgrades unless the Torque Converter is upgraded. I sold it and went to the 6spd. But they don't take much hp either so had to get a South Bend double disc clutch which ended up costing more than a T/C for the Auto go figure.

I am running an Edge Juice with the Attitude monitor (usually on 4), Bosch RV275 injectors, an AFE Mega Cannon air filter and a Magnaflow 4" exhaust and my transmission is holding... so far. The stock transmission is good for up to 300 hp.

I would go witht the Smarty. It gives you various tunes plus it is a code scanner and can adjust for tire size changes.

Hmmm. I don't remember reading that rating/specification before. My auto failed with the engine stock. IMHO, I think "... might hold 300hp. " would be a better way to put it. :)

I'd 2nd the opinion for the Smarty. I have owned an Edge Comp for several years now and really liked it. Now that I have the Smarty I don't turn the Comp on anymore. Sure, Smarty gives you less total power than a Comp or Edge Juice, but it is a LOT more fund to drive than with just the Comp. After the Smarty, build up your trans and then add a nice set of injectors. This is what I run everyday and it is reliable and plenty of power.

Not sure where you are at with your other mod's. I would reccomend a Smarty. Probably not the best chassis dyno Hp, but by the "seat of the pants" dyno it is very good.

The figure is a general consensus, not an exact figure. It seems to be around the point that the transmission starts failing fast.

I would agree with the general consensus on here as well - something adjustable like the SMARTY or Edge Juice/Attitude is going to be best if you can't afford to beef up your trans right now. If you have some self control, you can run it in milder settings most of the time.
