Ok this is the bottom line... . I have $750. 00 to spend by my signature should I invest in the 370's and Dv's or get the PDR hx35 turbo?

The injectors will gain you more HP by far, but you will not be able to use it without more air. Dad has a PDR Hx35-12cm on his 92 250 easily hits 37psi & can not break 1300* with a turned up pump & POD's.

My $. 02 turbo first then 370's :D (you won't stop with the turbo :p )

I'm getting 36lb of boost right now and I have the 16cm housing and my EGT are 1450+ full throttle going up a hill. However I do have the plate pushed all the way foward was going to move it back a little to reduce the temps..... any input?... ... Rick

He has seen a 150*+ drop in egt's over his previous turbo with an 18cm housing. He changed his housing from 18cm (with a max boost of 28-30psi) to a 12cm non-wastegated housing, PDR Hx35, & still got a 150*+ egt drop. Boost from 3psi to 37psi is almost instant (he is changing to a 14cm housing due to his inability to use full throttle, 40psi+ is readily available he just does not want to damage the turbo). Needless to say he is very happy. Call Al at piers diesel research and ask him about the turbo. Not a selling anything just a happy customer.

I have 370 diamond B's in my 97 5-speed, I'm very happy with them, they gave me a considerable boost in low end with the PDR hx40-16cm & twisted the center out of my clutch while I was passing a furd, but I would not install them without upgrading air flow. They didn't raise my egt's that bad but I was already running a TST #4 fueling plate & 4000 GSK in a 215hp pump.

The turbo can wait awhile. I have the stock turbo and only recently changed to a 16cm housing to help out the EGTs which it did nicely. It will boost 40lbs and drop back to 37 with no trouble at all. Do the injectors and if you havnt yet, install a plate. You will be a lot happier than if you spent that same money on a turbo that wont give you much HP gain only EGT control that you dont need quite yet.

Oops, went back and read your sig and see you already have some goodies. If you are having a lot of EGT problems now then the turbo is a good bet but otherwise do the injectors, then the turbo and then the delivery valves if needed.

Good Luck

yeah don't do the turbo yet you will love the 370's and 191's they make a lot of seat of the pants power but you will have to get more air in there.

wish I had a 215 pump :{

but this little 175 does ok.
