I need to get a wire to my car stereo that is "hot" all the time so the settings are saved. Short of running a fused wire to the battery what options are there? I don't thing the cigar light is hot all the time.

I think I had a "hot" wire from my original stock radio and that's what I used for my new stereo.

If you can't find that you can always run from the fuse block.

If you go to CircuitCity or Best Buy or just about any store that sells car stereo equipment, They have "install kits" that will plug into your factory plug so all you have to do is attach the kit harness to the decks harness and Viola. I used to hesitate and balk at this method figuring why not save $15. 00. But after doing it once this way, its a snap. And you don't have to cut any factory wires.
