I have been doing some reading about using a ford ball joint dana60 to convert my 99 2500 to lock out hubs. I’m just wandering what parts I should be trying to get from the donor axle………knuckles and every thing that attaches to them? What year fords had the parts I’m looking for? What spline count is the dodge dana60?

You'd have to be looking at '93-'97 fronts since before that they used kingpins. Not sure about your axle outers. You might be better off looking at EMS Offroad's lockout kit. Cheaper and easier in the long run.

I think you have to use the whole ford axle. I am unsure. I was told the hubs off or the 2000+ won't even work on the 1999 and prior between dodges. I don't think the ford knuckles would work. 2000+ the inners axles are 32 spline. The outer splines are 30. 1999 and older have 30 spline inners.

You need the whole axle. Find a junk Dodge 60 and remove the mounts from it to weld to the Ford unit.

The pre-2000 and 2000 & up spindles do not interchange.

I was under the impression that I could just swap out the knuckles and hubs off a ford D60 to do the conversion. Looks like I will probably go with the EMS off-road kit.
