Which Year Model

I'm considering buying a 4x4 auto truck for all out HP an racing. Is there a paticular year model 2003-2006 that guys are seeing more HP from? The plans are twins,ported heads,big sticks an modded CP3 among other things. So whos making what HP with which year an what mods? Thanks in advance.
