Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Whirring sound after shutting truck down

I just tonight noticed that after shutting the truck off, a whirring sound that lasts about 5 seconds. I popped the hood and did it again and it is not the fan, what is it? Is this the turbo winding down? I have the stock air box with a K&N drop in. I've never heard it before. Does it have anything to do with the recent 3k GSK install?

Probably the turbo. I can hear mine some at shutdown.

Yup it's the turbo spooling down

Did you just clean your filter? Or add a seperate intake for more air to the filter? Just be glad it is spinning freely and smile.

I also have a K&N filter and I hear this everytime... its normal
