Whistle or High Pitch during acceleration?

I have been hearing this whistle or high pitch sound during acceleration with no load or loaded. It appears to be getting louder as my wife can hear it now on her side of the truck. It sounds like it is coming form the left side of the truck when we are driving around. I have check all clamps on the turbo cooler. All are tight and in place.



Does anyone notice this noise or is it just me. Is this normal on the 3rd generation trucks, as I did not have it on the 2nd generation truck?

That would most likely be the turbo, yes it's normal. And yes your wife will hear it more as the turbo is mounted on the passenger side of the engine.

The stock air box keeps the turbo whistle down but you can still here it. It gets much louder when you install a performance intake system. A bigger turbo is even louder. A sled puller 66 will play Rock and Roll.
