White Smoke question

Hello All, I've followed the new TSB threads with interest and I think it begs a couple more questions to help myself and others out. Those of you with white smoke at start up, is it a puff? A lot of smoke?, is it constant? I have a puff sometimes, but it 's not constant, and only when engine is cold, so I'd guess it's not a problem. Has`anyone done the 18-037-04 flash that was getting decent milage other than "SShang"? I get 16. 8 -17. 8 but have to watch the right foot very carefully. I'm going in for the High Idle on Wed. so don't know if the new TSB will cover it. Thanks in advance. Brad

I got good mileage before I got the 18-037-04 reflash. I was getting 14-15 mpg pulling our 14 foot/3500 lbs enclosed trailer before the reflash. I got it last Wednesday and this past weekend drove 500 miles pulling the trailer and got 16 mpg. I had to go slow (55-60 mph)for about 100 miles of that because of some pretty heavy rain but usually I was between 65-70 mph. Driving back and forth to work I usually get 17-18 mpg but I haven't driven it to work enough since the reflash to see how I'm doing on that mileage. I never had the white smoke at start up issue so I can't tell ya anything on that. I'm satisfied with the TSB as my truck runs the same and if it really is going to get better mileage, and from what I am seeing so far it will, I wouldn't be afraid of getting the TSB, especially if you have the white smoke at start up.
