White Smoke

I know that there is a small amount of white smoke that comes out of my diesel in the morning..... but this morning was different. Alot of white smoke with a burnt smell came out of my exhaust and lasted a lot longer then usual and the engine was runnig kinda rough till I hit the pedal and reved it a little. Is this usual or is there a problem?

You may have water in the filter. Drain it and try again tomorrow morning. With all the crappy fuel that we are paying top dollar for, there is bound to be some water in the fuel sooner or later. Good luck

How do I drain it?

Look on the left side of the engine about halfway back and about halfway down. You should see a yelloe lever, turn that towards the fender. fuel/water should start draining out. Mine drains out onto the top of the front pumpkin. Make SURE you close that before trying to start again. It will leave a mess
