Comeon Gene!!

You're gonna drag Rob down with your Charlie Brown complex!!

Rob, don't run off... Let's get to the bottom of this

I know there were some assumptions on my part, in my post, but I spoke in general, to anyone who allows others to work on their truck.

With all those problems, maybe someone put a hex on that truck. I'd unload it and buy another one.

Rob G,

I've been following your posts as well as South Bend and all I can say is grow up and give the man a chance to "possibly" undo a wrong. Heck, he sent you a clutch at no charge and because he didn't answer your two emails... you think he's out to get you. Did you call him at his 1-800 number on Thursday??? If so, what did he have to say??????

Well put guys!!!!! Rob, give me a call on Thursday I will be in all day. 1-800-988-4345

Anyway, I"m not one to normally respond to emails like this but, this "Rob G" guy just bugs the S$%#@ out of me. He talks of all the mods he has done to his truck and how they all have not met to his spec's... heck... how can all these different mod's not work yet with all the people on this board who have the same mod's be happy... one can say... learn how to work on your truck and ***** later.

A lot of these guys sound like Ford and Chevy guys-300,000 miles, no maintence- except for 6 engines, 9 clutchs, 4 transmissions etc.

When I pay good money for a part, it had better work or I'm speaking up, no matter what it is.

I really do not see a problem with wanting aftermarket parts to work like advertised. Or at least not be broken out of the box. (Genos combo guage broken right out of the box, two years ago, they replaced it, no problems since. )

Sounds like Peter is taking care of Rob better than some other vendors out here.

It is nice to see that the holier than thou croud is alive and well on TDR, what happened to helping someone out whos emotions got ahead of his typing?

Nothing against SBC, but I will put money if Danelle takes her spiffy little truck and puts a sled behind it, her SBC will fail right along with the rest of them!!!

Then we will see who is crying!!

Get yer checkbook back out Brandon.

Signed,

Weakclutchnoboost.

Diesel Freak, a dial inducator should ALWAYS be used to check for possible runnout from centerline. This will eliminate one possibility for any driveability problem(s) that may surface. It's kind of like having a good baseline or foundation.

Hey Rob, I'm sorry you have been having so many problems with your Ram and the aftermarket accessories you have purchased. That really bites! That said (please don't take this the wrong way), I couldn't help noticing that you have been very displeased and pessimistic overall in almost every post you have ever made about your Ram. I'm not throwing stones or taking pot shots at you, just an observation I've made over many months. I really do wish you the best of luck in your quest to recify the problems with your Ram.

Hey weakclutchno boost...

I was reminded of an old saying the other day that still holds true...

If its got tires or (something I've forgotten already), sooner or later it'll cost ya some money!

Seriously, I would like to try helping you out. Obviously you've had problems and regret buying the Dodge. There might be a very simple solution to your woes.

First - have you joined a local chapter? The chapters are a great resource for help upgrading and servicing your truck. I always encourage members to do most of the work on their own trucks, when we do a BOMB session, even if they've never turned a wrench. That way they can really see how their truck's been put together and they feel a love for their machine.

Your truck is very new, it kind of surprises me that you've done so much with it already.

These engines need to loosen up for about 20,000 miles before you can fully appreciate their power. If your dyno results were fairly compared to other trucks (ie - same milage, differential, 3500, 2x4 etc. ) and your's tested lower, I'd suggest readusting the valves and check the fuel system for air leaks. That's just a start, since many things or combination of things can cause a problem. Diesels can run in almost any condition, but all functions must be perfect for the diesel to perform.

Have your chapter pals help you out and see if you'll eventually have a smile on your face. Hope to see you at a ralley someday.

You know, If you buy something from someone, and the product doesn't work, or is defective, most good business people try to rectify the problem. In this case with RobG , I believe Peter from SouthBend, has gone beyond the call, in solving RobG's problem. We can't please all the people all time, but I find it hard to knock a good vendor, like Peter at SouthBend. I personally, will continue to endorse SouthBends products and service, as I have just as much pride in my recommendations as Peter has in his Products and Service.
