Who has a Turn Over Ball Hitch?

I'm looking for help on the Turn Over Ball hitch. My new truck should be here in March and I want a goose neck hitch and also a 5th wheel hitch. The Turn Over hitch looks pretty good to me, but I can't find out what the 5th wheel hitch is rated for. Does anyone have one of these in their 3rd gen and how do you like it.

i was looking for one myself and found it the other day. . think it was hitch depot. i saved it to my favorites at work so if you are on tomorrow... i can get it for you... i think it was like 20K or something for the 5er attachment.

Good Question... . I have one and it works great, but I have never seen specs on it either. The ball socket is rated at 30K, the longer post itself can take over 20K before bending, the upright bolts should be worth about 3K shear each, this is about 24K, but the square post bolts bother me on these. They carry the load and I just don't know that they are worth 10K ea. under tension. They also don't carry the load evenly. The bolt through the top loads the hitch, but doesn't share any load.



I would guess that these are the weak link making the hitch about 16-18K.

I run a turnover gooseneck with a fifth wheel adaptor for the TT. Works like a champ .

With companion fifth wheel - 18,000lbs.

I have the B&W with the 5th wheel companion. Works great and no complaints. I would buy it over again.

I have the B&W turn over ball and love it. Have a friend that just bought a new Holiday Rambler 38 footer with four slide grosses 16,500. He had them remove the fiver hitch and install the goose neck ball hitch and he loves it. All he has is the ball in the bed he can turn over and does not have to wrestle with removing and installing the fiver hitch.

Wow, there is a lot of info there. It almost looks like the turnover is the hitch of choice. Thanks for the help.

I have the Companion for my 17,000 5er. Really like it better than the 20K Reese with in-bed rails. I was in the area and took the factory tour and was very inpressed. The foreman that took me around showed me the test bench and says the companion will handle lots more than 18K, but cost of recertifying was too expensive to do again.

I have a king hid a pin that works very well. I like the idea that I dont have to lose bed space to have a goose neck hitch. Add this before you do a linex liner. Should be around the 650 - 800 range, but worth it.

I installed the B&W in my "04" and love it. I would not have any other type after getting the B&W. Your question was answered above but the 5th is rated for 18-K and the the ball is rated 30-K when used as the goose neck.
