My last one was like that, the line color line was the plastic along the side to stop the door dings.

I saw a white top/ Driftwood bottom that looked nice also.

Mines all driftwood. I was thinking about painting the middle white, with Driftwood top and bottom. I would use the line where the pin stripe goes for the top line.

I have to paint the one side since somebody keyed it front to back last summer. (the insurance money bought an exhaust brake)

I'm not sure if you are talking about green over driftwood or the other way around but here's a pic of mine with green over driftwood. It has stainless rocker panels on it as well:

Here's a picture of it now (I had the rockers sprayed in a darker grey with Permatech bed liner material):

The bottom color starts right in the middle of the thin body line that runs down the length of the truck, here's a picture that shows it close up:

Hope that helps.

Seems like there is a forest green and an emerald green. Maybe others. The emerald green top/ driftwood bottom two-tone is the prettiest truck on the road. IMHO. My 96 gasser was like this. My 97 diesel is solid driftwood. I have grown to like the driftwood, but the emerald green when washed and shiny was the best. I would post a pic, but I have not learned to do that yet.

I have checked to see how much the would charge to paint my 97 like the old one. The cheap places wanted too much. And the places that did Quality work would not touch it. Costs too much to make it all match, in all the tiny little places that matter and have it look like it was factory. You would really like to have green to get them to do it. I decided I like my 97 color just fine.

There are three ways Dodge had paint options over the years... .
there's this 'lower band'... #ad

or this 'waterfall'...

The dually's only came with the 'waterfall',but any of them look nice.

That waterfall scheme looks great!

Was it always done with the dark color on the top?
Too bad it's only offered on the duallys...

rraulston--your discription sounds like this waterfall scheme

No, I can think of at least one 3500 I've seen w/red on top and black on the bottom. Didn't care for it.

This truck was ordered with the waterfall option. On delivery it came all black. Dlr said from order to shipment the deleted that option. We made them paint it or no sale.

If you live in a VERY sunny area, like I do, I suggest against the dark color on the roof. I have the Emerald/Driftwood combination, with driftwood as a center band. The Emerald on the roof and hood is starting to get dull. That could also be due to my inattention, but it does increase heat in the cab.
