Here's the scoop.......

As I understand it anyway. After my DTT upgrades I was told to use this style filter. It's less restrictive than the one with the plastic housing. The screws were already there in the valve body. It's the same filter minus the plastic housing that restricts flow. Nothing has really changed.

the filter in the picture is the one to use . if you go to an auto parts store other than napa tell the guy behind the counter you want the filter and gasket for a 1979 W200 . that will get you the stuff pictured above .



the 3rd screw should be in the VB , if its not take one and go to the hardware stre and get a pan head machine screw the same length , its a 10-24 i believe .
