Okay, I want different wheels tires for my truck to fill the wells a bit and set her apart. I'm getting kind of frustrated. I might just do 33's and no lift and stop there.

However, I'm also considering 35's with the Kore Recon lift. However, Kore suggests I just keep my stock wheels, and if I must do aftermarket, I have to do a 6" or 6. 25" backspacing. They said if they stick out they will rub. Well, wheels with that backspacing are usually on 8" wide (I'd kind of prefer wider), hard to find, and I'm not sure what they will look like.

So, anyone have Recon with 35's and aftermarket wheels? Rubbing? Got any pics??

My friend has an '05 2500 4wd w/recon. With aftermarket wheels and 35's they did rub the outer rear fender lip. Put the stocks back on and no problem. Kore's leveling with you.

He put 35's on stock wheels on the problem went away? You said it rubbed on back, yet I was looking at I can't see where bringing them in any would keep it away from the back fenders. hmmm. I could understand it if the rubbing were in the front.

Even 33s will rub if they stick out to far. Friend of mine had to trim thr inner fender at the back of both fenders so it would not rub. I put 35" tires on my Megacab with no lift and have stock wheels. Only place they rub is on the control arms (very slight rub at full lock).

This is what I'm not understanding, you say "even 33's will rub if they stick out too far", yet you say they are rubbing on the inner fender... . seems like that wouldn't be affected by them sticking out too far. Seems like sticking out would help that.

BTW, I'm not doubting anyone here, just trying to understand and take in info so I can make a decision. Thanks for the info so far!

I put on H2 wheels with the BFG 315/70/17 KO yesterday, in and out of some parking lots, driveways, etc. with no rubbing when I checked this morning. The tires come out to be about 35's.

If you mount a wheel that pushes the tire outward, you push it further from the pivot point. (vertical steering axis) Imagine this exagerated and even stock tires would smack the bumper and doors.
