I am thinking about buying a smarty for my 2004. I am currently running the bullydog power pup with outlook moniter. How do you 3rd gen folks like the smarty so far?Any pros or cons so far?Has anyone heard if smarty will come out with a moniter to view things like the BD moniter? Thanks for any info, coobie :D

The Bully Dog moniter should work with the Smarty, it just won't allow you to change programming on the fly. The Smarty will "roll the coal down low"! ;) It has great bottom, middle, and top end power. I believe it is most noticable on the bottom though. My truck also seems to start faster with the Smarty and there is no lack of power from a stand still anymore. :D

Your going to need more than a VB and TC to hold any of the low end grunt of the smarty!
Correct me if I am wrong, you have experience with the Smarty setup? Are you telling me that my goerends TC and VB will not hold my set up in the lowest setting?I find that hard to believe. Please enlighten me!!coobie :(

I have been running my smarty for a little while now. I think my FE could be slipped on the 90 HP setting if I wanted. If you are somewhat sain with this then im sure youll be fine, if you want to hold the power (even moderate levels, the 60 HP setting could easily destroy parts if you are not careful) you will need a full billet race transmission! The Smarty puts a TON of power to the ground before the truck can even lurch off the line!

Its like driveing a supercharged big block! INSTANT THROTTLE RESPONSE!!!

I am with mattymac, the throttle response is pretty snappy, and I am afraid of cranking it farther than the 30 hp setting

Smarty can easily be tamed down in future updates, We needed to offer the initial spectrum of power of what we can provide.

We can soon offer a different set of programs for a variety of needs and wants

We will also say "where we are today is not where we will b in the future"

come on less than a week on the market :-laf

kick butt is still to come :)

I think the Smarty really helps to wake up my '03. Bob, Marco, et al, send the KICK BUTT version NOW! You have my number! hehe
