I could not make up my mind on which turbo to purchase and I am still having that same problem. I ordered the phat shaft 62 super for my 2005 cummins 4x4 A/t with 4. 10 gears.

Should I go SPS-66 OR go SPS-62 ?

I really dont want to bark and surge but i want more air and more power and quick spool up -- You may say I want it all

thanks

If you already ordered the 62 then I would run it. From all I have heard it a great turbo. If you find that you still need more air then Brett or Brady can simply upgrade the turbo to the 64 or 66. I just sold a 62 to a guy putting an 02 cummins into a 06 F-550 to tow a backhoe. Still waiting fot the conversion to be finnished to get a feel for it. I am looking at a 62 for my truck possibly, but am in no hurry. The super B I have will work for now.

thanks for the replies, I would love to have that SPS 66 but I don't want the barking and surging. I do not tow that often so I may just get that sps 66 instead

Dont mean to thread jack here but how do you like the super B ? I have an 03 with what you see in my sig and still cant decide which turbo to get, and I need to be able to tow my 10k+ 5er

Thanks

Robert

The super B has been a great turbo. Milage increased (maybe due to largeer housing?) and exhaust got noticeably deeper and smoother. Spool up is very good, and it sounds really nice when spooling up. Boost around 45-50lbs no problem, cool temps with my current set up. With the old set up 45lbs boost and 1700*!! The boxes have as much to do with temps as do turbos. I will be changing to something bigger or add another tubo later for more hp once I get my trans problems figured out. I think the Super B is just about the same size as the PS 62. I just don't know what size the exhaust housing is. BTW- they are both switzer S300 models, modified to whatever the parent company wanted. So, really the difference will be found in the R and D.
