im wanting to buy a 2006 3500 quad cab with bed delete. want to put on a bradfordbuilt western hauler bed but my question is you cant order the tow group with the extra circuits for trailer lights . i looked at a 2500 this weekend and it had a group of wires that where marked at the rear and couldnt find the hookup for the brake controller. and i was wanting to know if any one knows is this separarte circuits for trailer and the bed all on the truck? would you hook the bed and the trailer on on the same circuit or separate. ? im just wanting to know all i can before this thing get ordered so any thing you could tell me would be greatly appreciate ron

Most of the dealers that I have delt with in the past have the ability to dealer install a trailer tow group, that includes the hitch and wiring harness and provide the harness in the cab to connect the trailer brake. .

The deduct for a truck less bed is only about 350 from my dealer... so I always order the bed, and sell the tail gate, inner fenders, etc on e-bay for more than the dealer takes off... . I think the last new tail gate fetched 375, and I don't remember the value of the other stuff... you might think about going this route... .

A cab and chassis is now an option. However they have different axle widths than taking a box off.

I ordered mine with the box on and installed the flatbed. Thinking that I very well might want to keep the flatbed and sell the truck. This way I had a bed to put back on.

Possibly another option: Last year I was able to get enough money from selling the brand new boxes off two company Fords to pay for flatbeds on each. HAD TO BE BRAND NEW. The best part is that from here on out the will be reordered with the flatbeds at no additional cost.
