Who makes a good 3-5in lift?

Im thinking of buying some 35's And i dont want a 6in lift Like a 4in maybe 5in,Im going to keep my oem rims. I do tow alot if that matters.

I work with Sky Jacker alot and like the product and the company values! Give them a look. I rum 35's with a 2 inch puck, a litle rub, put is looks good!

I have the 5" Skyjacker on mine and so far I like it. I run stock wheels with 37's and zero rub. I'll try to get some pics up soon.

You do know that you dont need a lift to fit 35's. I did it with zero issues until I had the $$$ to lift it purely for cosemitic reasons.



Well I was like you and research'ed for a wile and decided on Superlift because it used Bilstien Shocks which I had on my 2nd gen and liked the ride alot, and it wasnt painted some flashy colors, and the reviews were all good at the time and the price.



I got my 4. 5" Superlift with Bilstiens for a price so low I was told not to tell others. I got it from Blacksheep4x4 here on TDR. Give him a PM if you're serious. All I can say it's the lowest price you will find on any 4. 5" lift.



I'm very happy with the overall performance of the lift and have no complaints. When I did the lift I also added a set of remote res Fox Shox w/ tower up front. The truck rode awesome and had very little body roll and handled the bumps and turns great. Well I order the wrong length fox shox and only ended up with 2" of uptravel and I broke the lower shock mount that was included in my top gunz customz shock bracket and had to remove the fox shox. Well I just got done with a 150 mile drive from my place in the mountains to my parents in the SF Bay and I really miss the fox shox. Yes its still a nice ride but it handles differently and it sways more due to be 4. 5" taller and the absence of a rear sway bar. I'm still happy with the lift overall but I guess I got spoiled from having a racing shox in addition to the lift. It now feels like im driving a lifted truck as oppose to it feeling dang near stock.

Also there will probably be some other members posting here telling you to get a high dollar racing suspension and while there nice there overkill if all you want to do is fit 35's and would rather spend $1,200 vs $4,000.

i am currently lifting and 4linking my truck i did the 4 links, coil conversion, 4in up in the rear, 6in up in the front and 35's for about 4k. if you look around you can get the parts for a lift for much cheaper then most any kit. mine was pricy because i was buying bushings and joints yours is just springs and shocks so its will be very cheap for you. if your more interested send me a pm and ill awenser any ?s you might have. w/o knowing what year your truck is its hard to send ya in a direction as far as parts and components

Regardless of lift manufacturer.

Look at the way the ZERKS are on the upper and lower control arms. You want them at an angle that allows easy grease application. Also... don't be fooled by the cheap snap-in type ZERKS that might be mounted at a less then serviceable angle because they pop out of their nest when you try to feed them.

I like the look of my candy-apple powder coated Double-Flex system but... the ZERKS SUCK!



I will be dumping these control arms soon and moving to the Solid Steel adjustable units to gain the amount of caster that you can't get with the fixed length units. Also. . the Solid Steel units use rubber bushings and do not require ZERKS.

I just need them painted to match Betty Boop's panties.

I would check out the Kore Performance website. Seems these folks are dedicated to Ram trucks. They look way nicer than any kits that I've seen. Sounds like they are fairly equal to stock as far as ride quality too. They show some photos of pickups w/ 35s and say their kits are good for heavy towing as well. Good Luck.

Gary, I would definately check out Kore's website also. I believe they make the best stuff myself and your truck WILL ride and tow better than stock. Check out the Recon series if you are not going to be in the dirt all the time. It is very fairly priced-not $4k. I tow with mine all the time and it works great. Good Luck!

i assume he is responding to the coment about being way nicer than all the other kits out there.

gary, like someone else said, i fit 35" tires on my truck stock. i doesnt look the best but i have the clearance i need. a level kit is all you really need but with the stock wheels your tires will probably rub the arms. i would say make your decision based on how you use the truck. if your offroad at high speeds, drop the big bucks on a race set up. if its just a driver, lift is as high as you want. just keep your towing needs in mind. i work outa my truck so i choose to keep the rear at stock hight. i dont enjoy climbing in and out and another 4" would just irritate me. (considering the axles arent getting any higher so clearance is not gained. ) i also like the simplicity of a level kit or small lift. keeps the truck closer to where those high paid engineers designed it be.

Just out of curiosity, I would like to put a set of BFG AT 315x70-17 on my 2007 MegaCab. Could someone recommend to me the right amount of front spacer and shock combo, and possible what wheel offset I would need? I plan on running AR 17x9 wheels, and then change over to Airbags in the rear. Any suggestion would be awesome…. .

I am looking to go up a bit more though... Kore looks great but I agree its $$$...
