A/C Delco for my . 02cents. Every Dodge Diesel I have owned that needed batteries had the Delco`s. They had great service life at a good price.

Local comapny (CC Battery) said ever since Interstate move to Mexico there not as good as they used to be. Well they had Interstate, Optima, and Excide. He said the Excide battery is the same battery used in new Ford vehicles, just re-badged. Very reasonably priced.

but battery opinions are like transmission up-grades, everyones got their own opinion.

Exide makes the majority of the "cheap" store brand batteries (ie. Walmart, Champion, Pepboy's, etc. ). The Exide Plant is here in Reading, PA as is Deka's Plant. My neighbor works at Deka.

I have had issues with exide batteries failing early. I have a deep cycle marine battery made by Deka that is now 5 years old. It still works flawlessly. It replace two Exide's that lasted less than one season each.

I bought 2 batts for my 1990 Ford Ranch Truck that are over six years old now and still going strong, so that is what I will replace in my 03 Ram when they crap out. They are very reasonably priced as well.

Funny you should mention that. My wife's '03 Silverado is on the OEM Delco battery and starts like new; even at -20 to -30f.
