Looking for Dyno numbers? I've got them!
These dyno numbers are with a Jardine 4" exhaust and a Psychotty air filter.
These number were all on the same Dyno-Jet Dyno, the same one that we use for Diesel Thunder in Spokane.
Here is the info;
2/7/2001- Bully Dog III's, stock HX35 288. 2 HP 569. 3 Torque
8/18/2001- Bully Dog III's with PE Drag Comp (Bill Kondalay's during Diesel Thunder) and Stock HX40 460. 1 HP 857 Torque
8/18/2001- Bully Dog III's, stock HX40, PE EZ and PE with Hot #3, 458. 5 HP 871. 8 Torque (Diesel Thunder)
8/18/2001- Bully Dog III's with standard PE Comp and Stock HX40 453. 5 HP 885. 9 Torque (Diesel Thunder)
10/27/2001- Bully Dog III's with standard PE Comp and Piers HX35 12 cm housing 427 HP no torque (This was on BD's Mustang Dyno during Dyno Days, all other readings are on the DynoJet)
5/08/2002- Bully Dog III's, Piers HX35 12cm housing, with PE Comp 422. 9 HP 856. 3 Torque
8/12/2002- Bully Dog III's, Piers HX35 14 cm housing with PE Drag Comp 430. 2 HP 825. 2 Torque
I took the HX40 off (1700 spool up towing just didn't cut it) and went to Piers HX35 with a 14 CM Housing. The 14cm housing give me alot more mid and top end compared to the 12 cm housing. Spool up was 1360 with the 12 cm housing, now with the 14cm housing spool up is at 1440 rpms.
The difference between the standard Comp (fuels through 27-2800 RPM's) and the Drag Comp fuels through 3200 RPM's)
And like Briar said the Power edge products advance the timing.
Edge Product is great to work with, their customer service is tops!
I highly recommend their products, and I love the adjustability for towing.
And one last thing,
DIESEL THUNDER is on September 7th! Hope you can make it.
Oo.
