Does anybody have the contact info for who makes the Sachs clutch? I'd like to speak with them about the possibility of them making a clutch for my Camaro, since at my power level on it (460 hp at the wheels) my only other choice is the McLeod dual disc, which I'm told is a very harsh clutch to try to live with on a car that is driven on the street regularly.

I'm also eager to hear more about their clutches for our trucks, particularly the ETH, so I can do some real mods to it soon. #ad

Thanks.

Rob

Rob, I hope you speak German. Seriously, for your Camaro please go with the Centerforce. No chattering like the dual McCleod, and it WILL hold the power.

Not on the LS1 cars. The Centerforce SUCKS for them. In fact, I know of at least two people who have had their transmissions ruined by Centerforce clutches.

Looks like I'll go for the McLeod dual disc... ugh.

There are a number of aftermarket clutches available--see ads in the NHRA National Dragster. You need to decide on diaphragm, Borg & Beck, or Long style; organic or metallic pucks, clamp load, diameter, etc. Sachs is mostly for Euorpean cars like Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari, and of course our Rams. #ad

Not to sound like a wise #@@, but they are made by Sachs.
Check out their english web site at: www.sachs-ag. de/english/powertrain/index.htm

You might be able to talk to somebody about them, check out their purchasing site.

Hello,
I'm aware that my English isn't the best, but
I speak German perfectly. Much better than English. Also I could call them without having you to spend a arm and a leg for a call.
Let me know if I can help you.
Marco

Thanks Marco! If you're bored and have nothing else to do, I'd appreciate it.

I sent them an email, but it went to a . de address, and who knows if they can read it or not. I made it very simple: did they plan on making a clutch to fit a 1998 or newer Chevy Camaro that would take a lot of horsepower?

Thanks!

Rob
PS: I've never had ANY trouble understanding anything you've written in any of your posts that I've seen so far.

The German guys speak English quiet well.
If you should have trouble with the language
let me know.
Marco.
