That is awsome, wonder what kind of gun it was?

My dad gave me a H&R Handygun (. 410 single shot pistol chambered in 3") when I was 18, I sold it to feed my family back in the early 90's when dickcheny was showing the nation he could put McDonnell-Douglas out of buisness and I was out of a job. Iv'e looked for one ever since, any leads PM me, thanks.

Sorry to say that gun is on the ATF ban list, although it looks like a Contender it does not have a rifled bore, being smooth bore it is considered a shot gun.

The handy guns aren't banned, they just need to be registered as an AOW and the tax paid, they can be found just make sure it has been registered and have it transfered to you through a class III dealer.

It is important to note that, if not currently registered, then it *cannot* be registered except during a general amnesty. It is unlawful to register an existing, unregistered NFA firearm.

My Dad and his buddy each were given one as a payment for some farm work they did in the late 40's, when the 1968 atf ruling was put out my dad's friend took his down to the post office to have it registered, some fed took it, broke it open, and whacked it with a chisel and hammer effectively ruining it. naturally after hearing this my dad kept his at home and I knew when I got it in 79 it wasn't something to get pulled over with. But if any of you guys know of one, let me know.

I have a Dan Wesson in 44 mag, but that's a mouse gun compared to some posted here. :D

And one wonders why the ATF is so hated... .....

A lot of gun and a lot of fun!

StricklandJ, I picked up a 460 a couple of months ago, about to get a VariX 3X8 for it. Man that thing is nice to shoot.

I plan on using it for dark timber hunting this fall, like to collect a elk with it.

Glad to see someone mention the Dan Wesson . 44mag. I went into my gun store looking for a S&W. 44 and when he didn't have one he pointed me to the Dan Wesson. I didn't know anything about it. He told me to go home, research it and he was sure I'd be back to get it. He was right. Bought it the next day. Not to rag on the S&W-it's a good piece. A buddy of mine has one. The Dan Wesson is just a bit better built. Stronger frame, etc. and it came with two barrels-4 and 6 inch. Love it. Doesn't kick too much and very accuarte. Glad to have been convinced to buy it.
