Armada - may not be national, though.

I've rented a Dodge 3500 from Armada Vans, in the Atlanta, GA area. But I'm not sure that Armada is a national chain.

Seems odd to me that no other rental agency would have pickups and vans. There's a lot of demand for that type of vehicle rental.

Good luck with the search,

John

There is a place here in town that rents Ford, Chevy, and Dodge diesel trucks. They would rather sell them to you, but they have a rental division there.

My guess would be Hurtz. They have several on the resale lot in Medford Oregon. Of course, they want a premium for them after they have been abused by a few hundred customers and 40k miles. Actually, they want more than you can get a new one for after the rebates and with a new one, you get a warranty. If you buy an X rental, it says in the owners manuel that your warranty is VOID! :--)

My truck was going to be at the dealership over a weekend a long time ago for the rear u-joint issue. I told them I had to have a truck for the weekend, so they brought a 1500 Ram with the small V-8 from Enterprise  Not only that Enterprise does not allow towing in one of their vehicles :--)

Little do they know I popped the plug out of the bumper, added a ball and used my small trailer to get the horses to camp. :-laf I could only day ride obviously, there was no way that girls truck was gonna haul my 3 horse w/living quarters :-laf

My girlfriend has an '01, 1/2 ton, 2 wheel drive, extended cab, shortbed Chevy with the big V8 ... ... ... ... everytime I hook it to even a small hay trailer I remind her of how gutless it is and call it a "girl truck", LOL. Course I always get a poke and reminder that she is a girl ;)

It is fun without a load, and to be honest has never been back to the dealer for that 1st problem in 78,000 miles. I do like doing the sideways burnouts while she is slapping my arm though Oo.
