As ya'll can tell my 44 is going out. i replaced the lift pump & fuel filter so know i need a new vp44. Can some one recommend a good pump and how to buy it from? I know there are a few company out there selling them but who has the best part out there? I am going out of town this weekend and when I get back I barrowed a car until I get it fixed but I want to fix it and fix it with the best part out there.

thanks GH

I have had great service Here. We intsalled their hot rod vp44 on a friends truck over a month ago and he has been all :D with it. Their stock replacements are reasonably priced as well. Call and talk with them.

I agree I have had my hrvp on for over a year now and I love it. if you are a hp freak you will really like it with my 275 rv injectors and the II hrvp I ran 292 on a dynojet at may madness!

I just spent a couple of grand on my 2000 pickup and I choose chip at http://www.bluechipdiesel.com He explained some upgrades to their pumps which seemed the most logical explanation and how they have taken care of these problems. I put on a higher output pump and it is really GREAT! Good luck! Paul

Thank you for that link i will give them a call in the morning. do you know if you gain any thing with just adding the hot rod pump? Or do i need to get bigger injectors also to really get the full power gain? I am on not sure if i should go with the stock replacement or the H/O. right now i get 11mpg and i have been driving it like a first time driver very slow and easy. i hope to gain some MPG with a new pump. My '99 3500 is mostly stock all i have done is added the Edge EZ to my truck & i have it set on the lowest setting. (Oh by the way it's a standard)

HO performance!

Just with the HO pump my truck is fun! LOTS more torque and more hp too. Chip said it would give about 20 more hp and around 60 ft lbs. of torque. The biggest advantage is the improved fuel mileage, it even improved while towing! All in all a GREAT deal. While towing I can’t really use my blue box, the HO pump puts out all the fuel I can use, any more and it gets to hot. Good luck and have fun.
