Northern Wisconsin Pizza and Beer!

Ohio meet and convoy !!

GO to the eastern UP for two weeks usally every year. Not for sure about this year though, lots of things going on, may sit out this year, would be the first year since 1995 that we haven't gone to MI.

I would be right now if the grass wasn't showing! Best snowmobiling in the US right here in northern Maine.

Yeah, if we ever get any snow up in these parts... . Nate, where the heck are you at anyway??? You seem to be everywhere at once! :-laf

My son and daughter and I generally go up to north eastern MN, the Iron Range or Arrowhead area. Most years more then enough snow but not looking real good this year. May have to go to the U. P. :{

Usually go up to Newberry/Marquette in the UP... getting to be very packed up there though, my dad just moved up to WI, so could start heading to MN. Not looking too good this year though.

We had a bunch of snow on the ground (~15"?) before the big thaw. Now there's nothing. BTW, my snowmobiles burn diesel, have heat, and can be driven year 'round. A real snowmobile does look like fun though.

Here's my snowmobile:

We rode in that 15" of snow that bighammer had up there back on December 3rd. I have my summer tires back on right now until the snow comes back. We don't get enough snow around here any more to have a snow mobile. Besides, the bike is more fun.

Not in the winter, nope.

The trail system in Maine goes into Canada, all the way from Northern Maine to the South end, etc. Easily put 200-300 miles in an afternoon of riding.

Shoot, my Dad's sled has around 12,000 miles on it.

Jong, I'm in Maine on leave. The family lives here.

I run a custom chassis with a 220 hp lightweight triple with a 159" track, my total sled with fluids without fuel weighs 427 lbs.

When turbocharged that motor is capable of mid 3's in terms of horsepower.

sweet! is that for the trail ;) :-laf

capable thats funny that you put it that way. every 2 stroke turbo I have seen run is short lived (2 stroke + turbo = boom). now the 4 stroke turbo's!

just need a apex turbo that weighs 450lbs. dreaming I guess for that 600 pound pig!

Trails, only for getting to the good stuff in the mountains.

Nah I ran it for two years turbocharged, dynoed at 340+ but my turbo bit the bullet and I haven't been able to get replacement parts so I just went naturally aspirated.

I go up near tomohawk almost every weekend when there's snow. Anyone else?

I'm Guessing Tomahawk WI? Well we drive thru there everytime headed to Land O Lakes WI where we just purchased some property and put up a large garage so we do not have to trailer anymore. Boulder Junction used to be our spot but Lando has become the base camp for years since we can easily hit the UP or go in any direction. Besides Lando is in part of the snow belt and they seem to get a bit more snow than Eagle River, just like this past w/e there was 2-3 on the ground in Lando and 10 miles south there was nothing...

Johnny

WOW either I havent been on here in a while or I hit a good topic. Or both. Sweet. We always go to my buddies cabin which is actually just west of tomahawk in tripoli. If I remember correctly we can be in minoqua in about 1. 5 hours.

WVanHemert what do you all have done to your lightweight triple? What CC??

I raced sleds for 9 years, last year they didn't get out of the trailer until March!

I plan on more this year but I need to get my truck (and living room) done first. (OK Eric, stop surfing TDR and get back to work!)
