Just wondering who out there uses ALCOA wheels? What type do you have? How do you like them? and how is the maintanence on them? Did anyone go with all 6 (dualley) alcoa wheels?

I see Fords quite frequently with the alcoa's, but they seem to be less common on the Dodges. I would be interested in hearing from others as well.

Dodge also has the Alcoa as an option. (Sure @ $330 per rim!) Ahartly has 'em and the guy that he bought the rig from left them on  They are absolute alcoa all the way (With a Chrysler star engraved on the rim surface)

I have them too.

So far so good.

southwestwheel.com had a great deal on them.

16x7 in the classic style.

They look better and allowed me to mount the 265/85 tires which have 3400# rating.

I do kinda wish I had waited cause now I am thinking a about 19. 5's but I will have to wait.

I use the American Racing series of alum rims on my 1st gen dually. They are the round hole model. These have been dropped from the catalog. But they look like the Baja series still produced.

I have had this set of rims for 9 years. They have been on two dually's so far. One chevy and then the 1st gen. They have been polished once a year since new. I am just now getting blemishes coming into the surfaces. I am pleased with them.

I priced Alcoa's for $1300 with caps and lug nuts 9 years ago. Compared to $525 for the American racing rims with caps and lug nuts. The shipping was the same for eather rim. I would not think twice about buying another set eather.

I have them on my old broken 96 F350 CC Dually, but they cheated. . . inside rears are steel. Always made it a *itch to rotate. I carried a steel spare. I don't know what I expect. . . 7 polished both side wheels I guess.

Alcoa LTS

I have the Alcoa LTS sheels on my 96 dually. Inside rears are steel. The rational I was given is that the mounting flange for the aluminum wheel is thicker than the steel wheel and thus will not let both wheels sit far enough onto the machined portion of the rear hubs to properly center and support both wheels. I have had them on since early spring and about 5K on the Michelin XPS ribs. Love both.

My '95 came new with Alcoa's like the far right in Tim's picture. One winter of road ice melter turned them black, still looked good so I didn't bother trying to clean them. Had an accident where two rims got bent, other guys insurance bought me 4 new shiny ones.

Alcoas

You really have to be careful what you clean aluminum wheels with so you don't ruin or stain the finish. I had the ones on the far right on my 95 Chevy gasser and really liked the quality. Chevy started putting them on Tahoe Z71s since. They must have seen my truck and liked the look!!
