WOW. That is all I can say. Yesterday while up at MassDiesel I asked the question my inner self has held back for so long. "Dude ... . Got EDM's? " ..... "Yup I sure do DAWG" Well now that the trans is healthy once again whaddyah say? So out came DDIII's in went the EDM MDS Mass Diesel Specials) series
(Or EDM X?X's) Prolly equate to a mach 4 type thang.
Well lets just say that ALL the stories you read about them are true. I have been on the back bench for soooo long reading and hearing about them that I finaly had to bite. Here is what I have found so far:
It Idles like a quiet 12 V
COMPLETELY changed the way the truck drives in terms of
Throttle control
Drivability (If ya want to keep the soot cloud down in Normalsville you can)
Spool up
But flick on the box
THEY RESPOND.
With the box on Crop duster mode I noticed right off the bat that spool up was noticably faster. Seccondly they seemed to pull higher than the DDIII's (In terms of rpm) So does that mean that the spray pattern is that much more efficient ... . Could be just that. The DDIII's seemed to yank you harder in the seat on launch down low whereas theese seem linear and predictable
What is even more freaky is that with the box off and cruizin steady on flat @ 70 my egt's are DOWN
allmost 100 degrees down
But they are bigger!!
However one miss is the instant SOOT DUMP the DD series provided for the fool right off your back bumper
So all in all theese things are just plain SICK! Scott Thanks for opening my wallet for me!!!!!!!
