Mike,Have you been to Jannetty's Dyno?If not how can you say that, just here say?Come on down and check it out

Are the peak egts with the larger edm's more, less, or the same as the DD3's? What horsepower rating are they 125-150? :p

Chances are George will be there so he can say that :D

Anyhow BACK TO THE THREAD Scott really could not nail theese down for me as they were a beginner's run @ an EDM run. That is why I called them (MDS) because they do not have a particular step level. They are large as when I put the box on kill I now have noticed a loss of performance as teh Lil PDR 40 cant keep up the air requirements. So today I found that I just Don't run it on kill thats all.

JRE's SuperFlow DYNO provides a host of measured parameters (HP, Q, EGT, STemp, etc. ) in various scenarios (hills of varying grades, constant or variable speeds and loads, etc. ).

I think Ted charges $150. 00/hr. For what your getting, I would not consider that an inflated price. :p

Give me a few weeks, I'll go visit...

It was explained to me that each sensor that is added bings with it a $25 charge???

Why would you need an hour for our trucks anyway??????

Tuning a p-pumped ISB

Tuning water/alcohol injection

Tuning NOS

Tuning wastegates on a twin-turbo setup

Burning custom chips

Just to name a few... . :p

Hello Tim, Yeah I am asking you out on a Date, You Me and the Dyno.

I guess I forgot to put in the (just breakin em icon) in the last post.

The King of Torque wants his identity kept under wraps untill he is unseated, then he will graciously hand over the torch, till next time.

I have looked around at what other dyno shops are charging and I really thought I was coming in very reasonable.

Most shops are charging 75. 00 for 3 pulls to 90 dollars for 2 pulls.

Then add 20. 00 for wide band, and each additional pull is billed 25. 00 per pull etc.

I can do up to 20 pulls in an hour with minor tuning in between.

I typically will make 3 pulls per change to back up results.

150. 00 per hour includes on Diesels, RPM, EGT and Oil temp, HP, Torque, printouts and graphs.

ON Gas (bad word here) RPM, Wide band o2, Oil Temp, HP, Torque , printouts and graphs.

I have 47 other sensors I can attatch, some will require drilling and taping, mounting etc so yes there is a charge for that.

My Dyno is the only one in the area that can duplicate the load the truck will see out on the road with or without a trailer.

I can run test simulations that would blow your mind not your motor.

It only cost me 300,000 dollars to build this facility so for you to use it for an hour or two, at 150. 00 per hour.

I didn't think that was too bad.

What about the truck? Where does that come into play  Pending what I ate for lunch I may be able to roll 1/2 H. P and 2 Ft Lbs Tq ... On a good day. :D

You got me, I was going to say your truck and I forgot.

Just the same I figure a good log rolling contest on the dyno wouldn't be a bad Idea either.

Between the 2 of us we should be able to produce about 100 lbs. torque for about 20 seconds then we can both call an ambulance.
