PToombs, I also often strike a key with two fingers, (keep chasing them all over the board) but as of yet have not tried to increase the numbers, if my wife will let me have at least two beers I"ll also try and find room for at least five.

i never did learn typing in school, but from posting messages on many different forums for the past 10 years, i can type pretty quickly without looking at the keyboard. . now i couldn't tell you where the keys are other than qwerty, but somehow my fingers find the keys when i am typing

I'm exactly the same way. It's funny, if someone laid a blank keyboard in front of me and asked me to fill in the letters, I couldn't do it.

I've also found that writing computer code tends to make you a faster typist, for some reason.

Here's links to an online test. I think my best is around 60 WPM gross (25 WPM net, whatever that means), but I'm much faster when writing from brain directly to fingers.
