Originally joined the Army and had the illustrious job of a truck driver for the 1st Cav and 2nd Armored division. I got tired of spending 8 months out of the year in a tent so I got out at the end of my tour and joined the Coast Guard where I run an avionics shop. I have been a navigator on C130's, a crewman on H65 helicopters, an air intercept operator on HU25 Falcon jets, a crewman on a 44' surf motor lifeboat that was supposedly self righting when they rolled (luckily I never found out about that). Been stationed in Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska, North Carolina, Florida and now Texas. Liked Alaska the best, South Florida the least. Been to Russia, Hawaii, Ecuador,Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guantanamo Bay Cuba, Haiti, British West Indies, Canada and have enjoyed every moment of everything I have done. I would have never had the opportunity to do a portion of any of this if I hadn't joined. I'm eligible to retire in 3 years but I'm not sure I'm done having fun yet. The people I work with are the finest I've ever known and I truly enjoy our mission in the Coast Guard...
