The Chicago Pneumatic / Garmon's Diesel Performance Modified Truck for running a best ever 10. 06. You can bet on 9's real soon. (Like maybe next pass) 2nd quickest pass at Muncie.



Darren Morrison - New truck and 2 races ever, both in Pro Street DHRA events, and 2 wins. Gotta love it!! 11. 08 new DHRA Street Record. 3rd quickest pass at Muncie.



The TS Performance Dodge of Dennis and Sheila Perry for making the 4th quickest but fastest pass of the weekend in the door slammer classes (11. 11 @ 122). This truck is heavy and has gobs of HP.



Matt Stuckey - 1st pass of the truck - 11. 44. 1st dyno competition and victory. 692. 8. First break-out 12. 47 on a 12. 50 dial. 5th quickest pass at Muncie.



And of course Steve Opocensky ( Opie ) for laying the biggest number I have seen on my dyno from a diesel powered vehicle at 738. 4 hp. It's a shame you didn't race or I'd have another 11 second number to post. Now the east coast dyno has a record set from the west. Chew on that one.



All of these guys deserve ton's of credit. It not only takes money, but time and knowledge to be in front of the group when there are this many quality trucks at one place.



Top 5 1/4 mile times at Muncie and all under 11. 5. What will they be NEXT year?

I have one question though, if a 738 hp truck couldn't move the sled in the rookie class, what kind of power does that give Kent Crowder?

I'm continually amazed at the rate of growth in this industry, and not just by one group. It seems that the toughest guys out there are really putting their heads into their games. David's point is very true: although there is money involved, it won't buy trophies by itself in this crowd.

I wish ya'll would slow up just a bit, though; I'm gonna have to get a job...

Congrats to the leaders of the pack, and those close competitors keeping them running.

If it was so rigged, it wouldnt have given ole' sleddy a fit when he attempted to move it and had a bad start.

Then on the restart he about LOST another 2 axles.

Tell me how that is fixed??



May I remind all of you that during "Rock HARD Ram's" first pull (Haisleys 1000+hp MOD puller) the air shut-off was some how activated and stopped that truck dead in its tracks.

You don't see Van Haisley going around WHINING about it.



Accidents happen, people and machinery are not perfect.

Grow up people.

I was also at TiM. It was called a rookie class for a reason. The driver. The truck could be the best machine there, if the driver doesn't know beans about what they are doing... . the truck is worthless.

I didn't mean to imply that anyone running the sled deliberately cheated. I was just returning the cheap shot Sled Puller took at my friend Opie. He has no problem dishing it out so be prepared to take it. If Opie had a problem on his pull so be it. God knows the magnifacent Sleddy NEVER has had a poor hook. I just get tired of his condisending attitude twards people who do not live next door to him.

I heard rumors that the Haisley truck dynoed @ ~1200hp back in April... Kent's truck is WAY beyond that.

Have you heard the one about the DHRA event where this guy from the "wrong side of the tracks" comes to your back yard and whoops on the dyno only to have the flag raised at a pull while the brakes where still on the sled? Sugar coat it all you want there are a bunch of people over here you do not care for and Opie associates with a few of them. We voice our concerns over your DHRA race rules and you trash talk us. If it had been one of "your" boys it would have been addressed right then.

It sounds like the issue here is whether the brakes were still on when Opie started his pull, which is a flagger/driver error, right? I'm not sure how anyone thinks Gene is responsible for this, unless he was the flagger or driver? Is there something I'm missing here?

I talked to Opie, the Flagger, and the Sled Operator.



A first hook attempt was made, more bounce than pull, Opies Dad let off, and was going to go again,the green flag was out, but the sled was not ready, so the brakes went on.



This all happened very quickly.



Nobody was out to get anybody, and I apologize to Opie for taking the cheap shots about his truck not being able to move the sled.



I am responsible-I was in charge of the pull.

Dang, this forum is hotter than the political forums... ... sounds like reporters trying to get an apology out of Pres. Bush. When you are communicating through typing and not talking, it is easy for something to sound cruel or sarcastic, why don't we leave this issue to those involved and not make judgements until tape is reviewed and people involved actually get to have a conversation about it??????? For the record, the pulls were some of the best I've seen, keep up the good work.
