Competition Lincoln County Fall Truck Pull

Competition Potato Bowl Pulls, Saturday Sept 11

The annual truck pulls are this Saturday August 28th in Gardnerville, Nevada at the Douglas County Fairgrounds on Pine Nut road. It’s easy to get to. Take 395 to Pine Nut road and go East till you see the fairgrounds. The gates open at 3pm. Last year there was a good turnout and some great street driven diesel pickup action along with the usual competition trucks and tractors. I’ll be there and hope to see some other TDR members there.

I know that Psychostroker is working hard to get the new torque converter in after toasting one in Yerington last week and he will show if he can, also another Ford KickinY2K from the Grass Valley area, if I can get away to come on up and watch, I will be there.

From what I have read on other sites, I don't think BBD, csutton or Spunkys Ram will be making the trip... ... ... .....

but I could be wrong... ... ... .

Fords Rule In Gardnerville!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, if you must know... ... ...

FORD definitely rocked in Gardnerville last evening... .

13 diesels in the stock and street class and KickinY2K in his 00 F250 put down the best run of the evening, I think 189 feet on a 250 foot track.

It was good to see Kickin hooked up to the sled after almost two years on the sidelines.

Adam laid down some pretty good smoke and a 166 foot pull.

Only two trucks in the Xtreme class, Psycho put down an impressive 192 foot pull in the monster F350, the only other truckin that class was a local from Gardnerville in a Cummins, I believe he pulled 162 feet.

There was some video shot, hopefully it shows up soon on Diesel Central.

Never seen so much hopping, one of the stock Chevy Blazer gassers pulled about 130 feet, but I am guessing that only about half of that was with the wheels on the track, he was airborne from suspension hop about half way down the track till he finally popped a driveline :D :D :D

all in all a fun evening

enough mods that Bryan was still able to put 30 feet on him

:--) :--) :--) :--)

he went away muttering something about upgrading to a 6. 9, maybe even a BANKS set up

I have no idea what he was running, but it didn't work, he was a local guy, so you can't blame it on the 4750 altitude.

Good job everyone, wish I could have been there. Wish I could have pulled againsit Bill, must have been his new wheels.

Unfortunatly it looks like pulling season for me may just be over. :( Unless we have some more pulls after September.

Hey, two pulls isn't excatly a season there spunkmyster :-laf

At that rate, Bill can still pull more then you this year if he makes the next two :D and he just started.

Very true Mr. Big,

Like I said, if there are any more pulls after September I think I'll be able to go. It's just that September is SHOT to S*IT. Just when my truck starts to pull good I can't seem to find the time to show it off. :{
