Who's gonna be the first to put a new 6 speed auto in a 2nd gen?

Yes I would still love to get an auto in my truck, one of the new 6 speeds would be great, especially the aisin. Who's going to be the first to put one of these babies in a 2nd gen? I know it's only a matter of time.

Haven't really thought about it, but now that my engine is gone, I'm thinking of completely reformulating my truck plans, so possibly a new common rail engine w/ a 6 speed automatic may be an option.



Kinda/sorta trying to stay away from all the electronics, but ya never know.

you would need a motor and transmission wouldn't you ?

I'm sure someone will come up with a plug in controller to control the trans like the ecm should. Controllers are already available for older transmissions that have an ecm input (like the allison). Hopefully it's just a matter of time for the 6 speeds...

I would love to be the first to do a six speed, I would also like to do a full 4 door conversion like a pic I saw running around here a while back
