Dont waste your money. Similar thing called a Tornado or something like that. Put one in the Wife's VW Passat VR6. Advertised big gains in mileage and all that. City mileage did not improve. Hiway mileage went up 1-2 MPG. Good thing I did not pay for it. Dont drive strictly hiway enough to be worth it.

A friend of mine has something similar on his PSD and says it really made a difference in seat of the pants feel, power and fuel economy. 60 bucks is lot lot to pay for what you get though, the vanes couldn't cost more than $5 to produce.

With a 30 day guarantee why not give it a shot (someone other than me ;) ) The 5. 8l Cummins turned me off 100% to this company. Perhaps if they gotten the size of the motor right, I would have been the sucker to give it a try, decided it sucks, and try to return it within 30 days only to find out there is no way to give the damn the back and get my money :D

a potato works about the same and cheaper.

I don't know about you guys, as far as diesels go you need to get all the air you can for performance. I can see how you can save fuel using this product. . Once installed, you can't go over 45MPH. . :D :D

I was thinking much the same as HeberRam, here we are trying to remove the restrictions from our intakes when this thing just adds another. Also seems like if it gets the air swirling like it says that by the time the air divides into six paths that it would be swirling how ever it wants. Think I'll just put a magnet on my fuel line, good for 8 more mpgs. ;)

I thought it was 106 hp with the magnatized fuel. :D :D

Old idea, New marketing

I had an ad from a 60's car magazine hanging on my wall for a couple years some time ago. This one actually spun around. Same claims (air swirl = better performance/efficiency) but much cheaper.

Of course, that wonderfully swirling air swirls through all the tubes in the intercooler, rejoins (swirling) in the tube to the intake and then splits into 6 little swirls into the cylinders so the fuel gets distributed better. Uh, wait a sec...

I bet those grid heaters really do a wonder for the "swirlinig air"

and Doesn't the turbo "swirl" the air also?

I would bet the air coming out of the turbo into the intercooler would be "swirling" pretty darn fast too.

I guess the 5. 8L Cummins is why he gets better mileage too.

One more thing.

Don't those rubber air boots swell up a bit when the boost is up (20psi)? I would think the Vortex Valve would have a high possibility of twisting, or getting sideways in the boot.

Just my thoughts about the V. V.

I am going to try it!

If it gives me any gain in MPG (even just . 2 or . 5 MPG), it will be worth it as I tow a lot and drive 5-10k mile a month.

At 10 thousand miles a month even a small encrease if MPG will quickly pay for itself.

Just My Luck to try one and watch it come flying out the end of the exhaust,,,

EEEEEWWWWWWWWwww.... ... .

Crunchacruncha... ... CLANK. . clunk... ... .

Oh... I know that could NEVER happen.....

Yuk. . Yuk

Not Me

The only swirling air around my place with be the hot air popcorn popper.

Hey - I can buy this thingabob and install it on the exhaust side and make popcorn while on the road. :D

If I got two, and connected them to the new stacks I'm putting in, would it swirl the smoke into funny patterns? I'd like to have something that will let me blow smoke rings, toot-toot style :D ... .

Speaking of blowing smoke... clever marketer...
