Any boxes have features like TST?

Who is running an aftermarket Cam, what are your mods and how much did it improve spooling. I'm thinking of going to a PDR40, or B1KS to keep egt's in check but with only BD2's(bigger injectors are down the road) I dont think a turbo larger than my 35 will spool worth a crap because of the auto transmission and moderate elevation. So how do you like your cam? Or maybe I should just pony up for a 14cm housing? Thanks for any thoughts

I've had PDR for ~2K. See my profile for bombs. I love this cam. But, as you can see, I've got Piers' Nasty Nine HY 35, so my spool-up is incredible..... get boost at ~1200 rpm.

All the claims are accurate in my case. Lower egt's ( In fact, my egt's have just started showing (last 300 miles) additional reduction of another ~100 degrees at idle and cruise, so I'm having my pyro checked out tomorrow with an infrared thermal gun, as I'm suspicious as to why they are just starting to read lower than before, and wonder if my pyro is "lying") WOT egt's are hard to report because I'm pulling down to 3-4 psi on level 3/3 comp and my eyes freeze on the FP guage. I just replaced my VP44 and I gotta address fuel delivery. I have no doubt egt's are lower at WOT, just don't feel I have an accurate number to report.

Mileage is up ~just under 1 mpg. "My" engine has a different sound... . very subtle, but sounds smoother at all rpm's. Pulls stronger through the entire powerband. Piers makes no horsepower claims, but my butt says ~15.

Do a search for other's who have reported.

I'll be able to report ona PDR head/Cam combo towards the end of August.

I ran about 15-20K with the exact setup I'm going to be running with a PDR Head/Cam (Stage 1 port).

My truck dyno'd 456. 9 at 115K miles, now I have 120,0XX. We'll get to see how many HP I pick up, and most important how much EGT I drop. If I can shave 200* of my truck, I'll be running 450RWHP with 1,250*F EGT. How cool is that?!

Stand by for reports in late August.

Zach... .

My pyro is low ~75 at idle, and ~100 high under load according to the infra-red gun. I'm ordering a new guage. But, before these recent fluctuations I would say the cam lowered my braked stop light by 75, and my cruise by a consistent 100 degrees. Smoke reduced, as well.

You've come a long way since I met you at Bi-Mart. If you're back at OSU this fall let me know and I'll buy you a beer..... if you've got I. D.

Merrick be sure and post you're results.

Joe OSU and I parted ways for good this spring, thanks for the offer though, I'm sure Roger would appreciate that beer. :D

I'm running a Enterprise cam. To me it was probably the single best upgrade that I made. It dropped my egt's 200deg. And cut back on the smoke. Those were my two biggest concerns. It also spools up quicker from a roll. This might sound wierd but I did'nt notice any improvement from a dead stop... foot to the floor on 3x5. But everything else is disneyland!

On the dyno the numbers were the same, except my hp, and tq came on 400rpm sooner. All said and done it is all good with no drawbacks. I get 16. 5 mpg truck weighs 8200pds, and I drive like a madman.
