Edge Juice and 50 HP or so Injectors on an 04

lol. It really isn't bad. The worst part is taking out the radiator, intercooler, AC condensor, auto trans cooler..... all the stuff in front. After that just pull the valve cover, rocker assemblies and pushrods then lift the tappets with a set of sharpened dowels. At that point all you've got left is to remove the timing case cover and the little steel deal that holds the cam in and slide it out. Slide in the new one (aligned properly of course) and put it back together. Oh, did I mention the need for removing the windshield wipers and the plastic facia so you can pull the pushrods up though the cowl. That may not be necessary on the new trucks but I'm guesing it is.

When I did it I was replacing a KDP damaged gear case so the injector pump, Power steering pump, 12 valve lift pump and everything had to come off. That was a fun project :)

Hot Juice and attitude laid down 454 rwhp on a 03. upgraded turbo though I believe it was a B1. I just sold a HOT Juice and attitude along with a EZ to a customer of mine in Pocatello ID his truck is a 05 I will post his feedback

I think Kyle is talking about my 04, "Ghost Rider". Edge sent me a Hot 555 Juice to try at BD Dyno days. Yes, I do have a B1-2-04, 51" Nelson muffler and a AirAid intake for mods. Ghost Rider laid down 454. 8 HP. If I add a EZ and some injectors we'll be over 500 HP. Oo.

Piers laid down about 725HP on his dyno the other day with his 04. 5.

Stacked boxes/twins/cam/radical injectors. +????

Supposedly the injectors were way too radical, and he pulled them out I think.

BDDL, TST, and Pressure Box equals 500 or more on stock charger. Am I wrong?

I'll have my BDDL back tomorrow and will post dyno results.

I'm betting not, on stock charger, I got to 458, and any more fuel I just lost HP on the DYNO... so theres a point at which the hot air from the stock one (out of its range) just hurts hp, but you have SO much fuel, it wants to keep on boosting up!

what can the BDDL add here? TST+pressure box is already at 500 with enough air, and there are numerous experiments stacking the TST with various amounts of pressure fooling, basically showing that a little pressure is worth 20-30 HP or so. all the BDDL can do that boxes can't is add a touch more timing. The TST has more duration to give than is useful (beyond 7/7 not productive) and boxes like the EZ have more pressure to give than is useful with the TST (beyond 2-3 not productive). so more pressure or more duration coming from the DLr would probably not be effective.

Are the guys running BDDL actually getting more with TST+pressure than without the BDDL?

I'd like to see the differences between 500hp on the 555 motor and 500hp on the 600 with the bombs guys are using. Common sense tells me the 555 guys need more to get to 500 versus a 600 that starts out with more. Of course common sense tells me a bunch of stuff and I never listen

Actually, the 555 seems to make power easier. To get to 500rwhp, we used:

On our 03 555/HO 6-speed:

DD Stage 3 injectors

EZ module

DD turbo kit

DD pusher pump kit

Made 503rwhp

On or 04. 5/600 HO 6-speed:

DD Stage 2 injectors

Edge Juice/Attitude

EZ module

DD Turbo kit

Made 501rwhp

That being said, the 555 should make even more power when you stack a pulse/duration box with the rest of the components listed above.

Yea that figures, nothing in this world works like it should. Well my world anyway :-laf

Keith, I want to hear more about your injectors for 600's. Are they on the website?

EDIT: I see they are on the website, what acutally do you do to upgrade them?

I made 540hp on the dyno at Muncie last year with the mods in my sig. I have heard myths of people making 600 hp and above but have yet to see one show up a major event?? (On the dyno, drag racing or pulling). I am not saying that it is not possible but between me and others I know we have had about every combo out there and have only been able to break the 550hp mark, But then again I don't need to make up false dyno result to sell parts either.

I just dyno'd at May Maddness, stock injectors, PDR cam & twins, TST & BD power modules. Made 587hp @ 32. 9lbs boost and 1014 on the pyro.

Mr Piers I have been reading this from the git go and I read yours and all I can say is WOW! Incredible! Doin that seemingly not even working the truck is crazy. Right on.

Even tuned I dont think I could put that down and if I did it would be 70psi and a burried pyro.

The low boost and pyro numbers are because of the dyno, it just doesn't put the same load as a load dyno or a Dynjet with the big slugs, such as DD or Dyno Mite Diesel use. Truck went from 75mph to 120mph in less than 4 seconds, much as I like to believe it would do that on the street, I know it can't. Course on the street it'll hit 62lbs boost and unless I dissconnect to auto defuel, it'll be over temps pretty quick... like by 100mph it'll be over 1350
