My wife told me last night that I am going to be a dad in October. This is our first child. I thought I would be scared, but I am pretty excited.

If you have the time and ability to do so, try to do all the 'mother' stuff with your baby you can - changing diapers, pushing strollers, getting up at 2:00 am with the bottle and feeding the wee one - it sounds odd but it's the best way to bond with your baby that I know of. And my kid is turning out pretty good so it worked for me.
