who's upgraded their turbo

If anyone has upgraded their hx35, and you still have the v band clamp for the turbo - elbow joint, please im me !!



Mine is cracked almost all the way thru, and I can not find one anywhere ?

Cummins should have what you need. Or talk to Piers or some other vendor. They may have one lying around as well.



I have mine yet, but want to hang on to it. If/when I get a different truck someday, it will be going back on when it is sold, otherwise you could've had mine.



BTW, have any luck with the radiator?

Well, I kinda need it like NOW. Leaving for FL monday for the week.



I have a 3" from a local diesel shop, but it is too big. I can MAKE it work if need be.



I have already been in contact with someone from this sight, and they are sending one to me at the address I am going to, so at least I will have the issue fixed before I come back home.



The outer band on mine cracked a little over halfway across. It seems to be holding, but I am taking the stuff with me to fix it if need be.

Yeah, I ended up getting a 4 row thru autozone, and I made them price match rockauto.com. It wasn't an exact fit, but only took 5 minutes with a dremel to make it right. The fill neck on the rad was a bit longer than stock, and it made it hard to get the W/W reservoir back on, so I modded it to fit.





I will be ordering a new clamp when I get back, and so far, sadly, the only place I have found that has the correct one is dodge... ... ouch. everyone who has a 3" clamp, well, mine will almost fit inside theirs.

The V band clamp is measured in two ways. The inside of the V, or the edge of the V. You have the one that is 3 inches from the edge of the V. You need to get the one that is 3 inches on the inside of the V. NAPA carries both and that is where I got mine. I put the stock turbo and fuel plate back on my '96 as I am getting ready to sell it.

Mine measures 3. 3" outside when compressed, and 2. 88" inside. NAPA said they couldn't get one.



I don't suppose you have the part # ? NAPA has to be cheaper than the dealer.

The Cummins # for the clamp (assuming it hasn't been superceeded by now) is 3903652.



Glad you found a radiator. A 4 row ought work pretty good.

Does the new radiator have any more capacity than OEM??
