I have a 04. 5 intake exaust no box maby program?

why I say maby I repoed this truck It was mine. . long story

pulling I can hit over 1500 and if I nail it from a stop it will

give of a small puff had it re-flashed I think it is still their...

oh and a nother strange thing had the fast idle turned on so now

if I idle with out it to long it dyes any one else heard of this

You need to slow down. I don`t understand a thing your trying to say.

You have multiple issue`s and your running everythingtogeatherwitchmakesithardtounderstand.

Huked on foniks werct 4 mee.

I think he's saying he has High EGT's but there's no box (possibly something downloaded).

It's also dying if he lets it idle too long... ??

Am I correct?

did you let a employee take this truck home for a company vehicle and you think quite possible that he had downloaded something like from a smarty box?

If you nail it from a stop I would expect a puff, even stock. If your hitting 1500deg you either have something downloaded into the ecm or a problem (could be many things). One other thing, it might have bigger injectors. Don't let it stay at 1500deg very long, not good.

not shure what question to answer first...

ok pulling a trailer on a hill ... not a slead

not shure about a program cause I sold the truck on payments

to some one thay had it for about a year . . well almost two years

soo now I have it back and it just seems to get to hot

but power seems normal not hoped up...

and last yes I doo need hooked on phonicks thanks for understanding :-laf

Just wanted to add a little info here.

My bone stock 2004. 5 with only a TS Performance MPD (which is just a monitor, no performance gains) will hit 1200+ post turbo pulling grades.

All of these trucks are designed to run hotter for emission reasons (water and EGT) and so far 59k pretty hard towing miles my 2004. 5 shows no ill effects from the heat.

That I have found out but mine will go 15+ but then I just gotta

back off but im shure it will go hotter... . witch is fine but im stock

My '03 would hit 1350 pulling a trailer uphill standing on it when it was all stock. Sounds to me like the trucks diffinitely had some sort of upgrade put on it. I've hit 1700 deg, but I have never held it longer than 6-8 sec at the most, I have plenty of friends who have hot rodded their trucks as well and hit high temps, but like me not for long. I've always heard not over 10-12 sec MAXIMUM. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
