Bought a new set of Toyo's from Schwabs about 11000 miles ago. Supposed to be their best tire. When I took it in for rotation, there was noticeable uneven wear (cupping) on the outside of both front tires. Had the alignment checked and it was ok. Put new shocks on also. Now, 3000 miles later, the tires are still wearing the same. Cupping on outside of both fronts. Got an appointment to take it back for front end check, but don't have a lot of confidence. Any ideas I can point them to. It does have a slight pull to the right. If it were alignment, would both tires wear on the outside.

After tires wear unevenly it is almost impossible to get them to wear straight unless they are on the back of a dually. There are many problems with Dodge front ends, bad ball joints, track bar, tie rods. Could be and number of things, you need to make sure you have a really good front end shop that has a clue and make sure the alignment is done to spec not just close to spec.

Thanks Turbo Tim. The fronts were like new when I rotated them from the back. Now all four are wearing unevenly. Not real bad, but when you pay $150+ per tire, it makes you a bit nervous. I'll ask them to check the things you mentioned.

I had the same problem turned out to be the lower ball joints. Swapped out tops and bottoms while I was at it.

Tires are wearing fine now.
