For these new trucks A/T filters fuel filters Things like that. Is it because of the emissions on these trucks . I know I know Genos. But the shiping rates are very high 2 cabin air filter 1 aisin a/t pan gasket and 1 serpentine belt $73 to ship its like a stick up. And don’t tell me because it alaska Ok rant over I feel better now but my wallet is sure lighter

Went to by local mopar dealer were I bought the truck aisin transmission filter $150 2 air filters $75 each two engine mount fuel filters $140 each senior discount minus $58 total $520 just amazing .I had all the part numbers for him . I had him recheck the prices twice.

I’d be surprised if you couldn’t buy all that at Geno’s for cheaper even with shipping.

Why didn’t you purchase the chassis mounted fuel filters?

Next year 4 years fall time and that’s not the point. Genos would have been $100 less And these items are not very heavy. Anyway I vented life goes on

I would guess that all of the items that he bought would have been at least half the price that he paid and very reasonable shipping costs and you support the company that puts this forum together! All in all its a winning situation!

Yes I have to do Genos from now on but FedEx shipping is expensive priority mail is the way to go but nobody wants to use the mail anymore . Mail is mostly junk now

I took filters back and they credited my credit card . I will order from Genos and have them ship to my sister in eastern Nebraska Then she can mail it priority mail to me.

You can also call Genos and process the order via phone, they are really great to deal with.

I ordered a bunch of stuff earlier this year and they just called me to confirm the mix and match randomness of the parts, let me know what was back ordered and when to "expect" it, out of their control. And really was a great transaction.

They do try which is great to see.

I'm sure if you told them your main concern is additional shipping costs they would figure out best means and ways to get you the stuff.

Same goes for when you really need a part, many years ago I lost a belt and needed a tensioner, I called and they shipped it same day, my cost for the fastest shipping but they got the parts out right away.

Good luck with the order and your filters.

I was really surprised how trashed my Air Filter is at 20k miles, it needs to go away sooner then later. That airborne gets all sorts of stuff in it, nothing past the filter but it had its share of stuff in it.

These trucks are road vacuum cleaners. Some of the roads the work truck sees is amazing. Drove from NY to Vermont last week to look at a job, and the amount of these little yellow leaves that went inside of the air cleaner box was amazing. That time of the year though.

Turbo Terry OEM is generally marked up a couple hundred percent at the dealer.. Geno's are not bad guys, I know some people are wedded at the hip to OEM, so Genos is a better deal than the dealer if the shipping isn't out of control

fact of the matter is the really unimportant filters like the hvac uses you can get 10 no name for the cost of one OEM off of discount places like Amazon or Rock Auto.

I almost always get oil and filters on sale, possibly with a rebate.. right now Delvac has their fall rebate going on,, save 10 bucks a gallon on their synthetics. for instance my next oil change is already sitting here.. 3.5 gallons of Delvac Extreme, 43 dollars after rebate. basically an oil change is 50 dollars or less. fuel filters usually come in under 100.

so for me for hard parts like filters my choice is Rock Auto Baby... Rock Auto... or Amazon. you can get name brands from them, but you gotta know how to manipulate the shipping all from the same warehouse with Rock.. for instance none o fthe oil filters for my Cummins cost more than 5 dollars, whether Wix or Hastings.
then you buy multiples of each maintenance part to make shipping worth it and generally piggyback other vehicles parts into the same order.. you get a stack of them for what you'd spend for one filter at the hi end vendors.

for instance I have purchased some name brand wholesaler closeout oil filters for my truck for less than 2 dollars each.. I buy ten... while at the same time buying filters for my other cars..

also if you know the part number, check Amazon. I think the Hastings brand Auto Trans filter kit was 27 dollars off of Amazon, includes the gasket and both filters.

Rock Auto... or Amazon.

Great way to get a counterfit knock-off part is Amazon. Rock Auto may not be an authorized distributor for what they sell. This means if you get a Bosch glow plug from Rock Auto, they are NOT an authorized Bosch dealer, and it breaks off in the engine requiring the engine to be rebuilt/replaced, well, NO WARRANTY. You eat the bad glow plug AND engine that would have been covered otherwise.

@Turbo Terry Ask Geno's if they can use a flat rate USPS box. Last pile of parts I shipped to AK was ~$24 in a flat rate box. Shipping a larger box to Maine was over $100. Shipping has gotten expensive!
