Truck in sig, added smarty last spring. 210K on the clock

When cold truck will cycle to high idle. After a couple min at high idle it begins to miss every once in a while, then starts to chug chug chug after another couple min.

I have noticed a slightly longer crank time to start but nothing major.

Am I headed down the road of injectors?

Things get strange on me all the time when it's warm out. :-laf

Usually it's a funny noise followed by complete AC failure, funny smell followed by AC fan failure (GM) due to chronic cheapo undersized HVAC wires/connectors melting... Well, it's usually hot rather than warm and working on a hot engine in 115 degree heat: this is about the only disadvantage out here. No warm/hot engine pulled into a cold garage to heat it up. No, it's all pulling a busted AC compressor clutch off so it doesn't finish melting down and ruining the belt, in the extreme heat on a hot engine, so I can get home from the middle of nowhere. The drive home after being hot with no AC is like a blast furnace... Seriously I have had vehicles towed over just AC failure as it's safer than driving it without and I am not counting when the AC clutch bearing lockup took out the main drive belt on stuff.

I would start by checking out the grid heater system. Then there is a TSB out for long idle times causing valve sticking and bent pushrods due to tar in the valve guides. Short of it is to warm the engine up or use an exhaust brake to keep the engine hot during long idle times.
