NO problem Dave, we're on target, and on the same page! :D

BUT, lotsa new guys hit these pages and forums daily - and some assume all's fair when it comes to making serious mods, then expecting the maker or dealer to cover for their poor engineering or operation. I ran into that regularly from guys over in the Camaro SS groups, who loved to run their cars at the drags, rev the engine to 5 grand, sideslip the clutch - THEN run crying to the dealer when the transmission or differential gave it all up. They openly stated that the warranty should still apply, and GM "owed" them a new drivetrain - maybe even a new car, when something inevitably broke from that misuse...

All those with twisted values and sense of responibility are NOT just on other forums - some roost HERE as well, or visit regularly - my post was for THEM! ;) :D

One would not expect Dodge to warranty an aftermarket box on a truck, that's the responsibity of the box manufacturer, but you would expect Dodge to warranty the rest of the truck. As far as crash testing a truck w/o a box, what difference would that make since no one would actually keep a $40,000 truck in that condition. I'm not saying that it isn't required by law, just seems stupid.
