How about serviceability, pop the hood on all 3 trucks and just take a look!
or what about if the Cheve runs out of fuel? I hear they have a squeeze ball to manually prim the lines, about 150 squeezes gets it done where you just turn the key on the Ram. How about that wimpy GM front suspension with upper & lower control arms, don't even think of lifting it or it will never steer the same plus they got those cute rubber C/V boots for sticks and such to poke through and then you get to pull the axles to fix em.
What about all the trouble with the new Ford? Even Ford techs hate the 6. 0 powerstroke. Ford is still using smaller brakes noted by the 16" wheels they run, and that cab is about butt ugly for sure plus the interior is not as nice as the rams IMO.
I doubt the front leaf sprung Ford rides as nice as the coiled Ram.
I kept clear of extra and quad cab trucks for a long time cuz I hate the turning radius but guess what... the Ram quad cab short bed turns tighter than the Ford or GM quad cab shot beds.
The Cummins makes all its power down low in the RPM range where the others need to be spun up more- more revolutions in the same time frame = more wear in the same time frame so I doubt those V-8's will out last a CTD.
The Allison trans in the GM is interesting but hypothetically thinking about a breakdown at lets say 160,000 miles you will be left with an ugly decision of dropping mega bucks to fix a 160K truck. Can't help but wonder what an overhaul on one of those would run
Ok I am done for now, thanks for asking me to vent
