Why does the "600" take so long...............

I had a local dealer do the TSB 18-037-04 and enable the "high idle feature" on my cruise control. I haven't tried the warm up procedure using it yet, but it should work great!



What is the DSG idle controller you are talking about?

I guess I'm the oddball here in that my "600" warms up much faster than my '01 7. 3 PSD. While we haven't had any BITTER cold yet, this week has seen some mornings in the 30s. I have an 11-mile commute, and with the PSD, EBPV roaring like a 747 at takeoff, I never got much heat for at least 5-6 miles. Under the same conditions with the Cummins, I'm getting heat within 3-4 miles.

just out of curiosity, does any know what the compression ratio of the 7. 3 and 6. 0 psd and what is the isuzu(d-max) motor comp. ratio is also.

that would play a big part on heating when idling.
